The Woods

We have about 5 acres of woodland and a few miles of Devon Hedges

The big wood which we call "Goodwood" is a mixture of old Oak  and Silver Birch trees, with holly and Blackthorn on the Devon Hedges which surround the wood on four sides.

With all this wood we have installed a log burner to provide heating and hot water.

We are going to start coppicing one of the small woods to provide fencing and kindling wood.

This is one nights fire wood, all day burning requires 3 wheel barrows!
